Folks, we need your support. We need you to get involved and rally your neighbours and the community to save this golf course from further development. We need you to help financially support 150 of your neighbours who have put their names down and are participants in a legal court fight with the Cochrane Golf Club to prevent any further development. The threat and the costs are real. The restrictive covenant that we are fighting to retain benefits ALL 404 property owners in Riverview, not just 150 of us. The cost MUST be shared by all that benefit and enjoy this community asset.
In 2007, the Cochrane Golf Course agreed with the Town of Cochrane and Riverview residents that there would be no further development of golf course lands except for golf course operations in exchange for a small subdivision approval. Golf course ownership are now attempting to renege on that agreement and have taken us to Court. Please help fund our fight to save our golf course and community.
